Family Treats

There is something about chocolate, no body wants to give it up including us at The Oil Connection. Before transitioning to a healthy lifestyle the kids loved to eat ‘American Treats’ especially Reese’s Pieces (Peanut Butter Cups) and so we thought why not create our own take on it.

Two must haves are Cacao Butter and Cacao Powder the magic is in the other ingredients, to be fair chocolate is about personal taste! You can add more powder to make it a ‘dark chocolate’ or you can increase the quantity of the sweetener for a traditional sweet treat. This also applies for the filling play around and decide what tastes good to you. Maybe it could be any of these Peanut Butter, Cashew Butter, Almond Butter, Jam… whatever you think is best.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cacao butter.

  • 2 cups of cacao powder.

  • 1/2 cup of maple syrup.

  • 1/2 tsp cashew butter per cup (Or any nut butter of your choice)
